Blue Dog Myth
One of the excuses I hear about the Blue Dog Democrats is that they come from conservative/Republican districts and must vote accordingly. This is a myth. Here are the Blue Dogs and how their districts voted in the last election:

Ross 39-58
Berry 38-59
Griffith 38-61
Childers 38-62

Of the 52 of them, 20 of their districts voted for Obama, 9 of them tied or came within 5 points of voting for or tying for Obama, and 23 of them went for McCain. 29 of those districts (in bold) went for or almost went for Obama, that's more than half. If these guys keep voting against their districts, I think more progressive Democrats should challenge them in the primary so we can have a real super majority.
