What the Media Would Say if...

...the Obama ignored Palin or treated her more gingerly:

"If Obama can't stand up to Palin, can he stand up to dictators?"

"He is sexist for treating Palin differently than he would for a male candidate."

"He is afraid of Palin."

But no, it's the exact opposite:

"He is criticizing Palin too much."

"He is sexist for attacking Palin too much."

"He is afraid of Palin, so he is attacking her."

It's a catch 22.
