What is worse, Letterman making a joke about Palin's 14 year old daughter that could be construed as a joke about statutory rape or an 18 year old impregnating Palin's (at the time) 17 year old daughter which is real statutory rape?
A sane person can see what is really worse.

...without the right-wing thinking they are in love with him?
This whole "liberal media" thing is bullshit, if anything the mainstream media has a conservative bias.

So I guess ABC airing one Obama piece on healthcare makes it his propaganda network. Keep it up Michelle, you will not have any screws left by the end of the year.

A baby Cooper's Hawk fell out of the tree in my yard last night and his mother abandoned him. It was there on the ground all night and I thought it was going to starve. I felt bad for it so I called someone from a bird sanctuary to come to my yard to rescue it. I feel good about myself.

This is cool! Maybe we should change to a parliamentary style Democracy and more 3rd parties would get elected to Congress. Even though I'm a Democrat, I have been a supporter of 3rd parties, especially those on the left.
While Republicans have an "R" after their name, the Pirate Party has an "ARRRRRRGH!" after theirs.

A blow to "legal bribery" aka campaign contributions. All we need now is to ban all other "legal bribes" to politicians and have campaigns publicly funded.

Really, more violence? Blacks were threatened with violence for decades after the Civil War, I guess Abortion doctors will share the same threats for decades too after Roe vs Wade.

If Obama was white, would you use the term "bling-bling?"
Probably not you racist piece of shit. Now just admit it, you are racist and don't give me that, "they will call me raaaaaaacist!" bullshit, those mind games don't work with me. You are racist.

Pawlenty isn't running for a third term. Thank goodness. I wonder if he has future presidential plans. Right now he is fucking up the whole Franken-Coleman debacle and has lost lots of political capital cause of it. I hope the DFL in Minnesota finally wins a governors race after years of drought. My favorite right now is R.T. Rybak, the mayor of Minneapolis.

Michelle never ceases to amaze me with her lies.
Dems: Hey, let’s take over tobacco industry!
From the article she cites:
The 84-11 Senate vote to consider the bill came a month after the House overwhelmingly passed a similar measure giving the Food and Drug Administration authority to regulate cigarettes and other tobacco products.
Every business is regulated and if there is a business that is in need of more regulation it's Big Cancer. But nobody is arguing that the industry should be taken over by the government.
And another thing, 29 Republicans voted for it too, that's more than half of them. Why didn't Michelle say, "Democrats and Republicans: Hey, let’s take over tobacco industry!?"

My dad temporarily worked for General Motors about 30 years ago and told me about how crappy the cars they designed were. Of course it's not the workers fault, they just make them, it's management that designs them. And to that GM moving their plants to foreign countries through free trade to avoid the UAW union and we see a decline in the middle class. That has consequences as people have less money to spend on cars. People are not going to buy shitty cars just to buy American, they will buy Hondas and Kias and Toyotas and other foreign cars. Of course the nail in the coffin happened when they started embracing gas guzzlers instead of improving their fuel mileage. All of that now leads to the death of the American auto industry and the car companies only have themselves to blame.
The entire country is now Flint, Michigan.

For the next few weeks we are going to see a rash of commentary from the Christian Right about the murder of George Tiller that says "this was isolated, we don't support violence, Christianity doesn't preach that, bla bla bla." I don't want to dissect what is going on in their heads and whether or not they are really celebrating Tiller's murder, but one thing is for sure, they benefit from violence.
Modern day Christians have the advantage to say they support peace although their entire religion and its spread benefitted from centuries of violence from past Christians. It's an act of commensalism somewhat. Same thing with abortion related violence, it's an act of terrorism and the anti-choice crowd benefits from it. Whenever a doctor is shot or a clinic is bombed, this intimidates anyone who performs abortions and will cause future doctors to reconsider their career choice. Fewer abortion doctors, fewer abortions, more ruined lives of women. ... (more)
