27 February 09 - 15:23What's Worse than a Racist?
A lying racist.
Grose says he accepts that the e-mail was in poor taste and has affected his ability to lead the city. Grose said he didn't mean to offend anyone and claimed he was unaware of the racial stereotype linking black people with eating watermelons.
WTF? Would you ever see anybody put radishes or carrots on Obama's lawn? No, the watermelon eating is a racist stereotype. It's like the New York Post cartoon and the monkey, they allegedly "didn't know" about the monkey stereotype. Why can't these racist fuckers stop lying and come out and just say they are racists?
At least the mayor is resigning.

27 February 09 - 09:11Mike Adams is a Racist
Mike has done it again, he has proven himself to be a total racist.
Of course conservatives will lie about why they oppose affirmative action, they oppose it cause they want fewer minorities and women to get into college, not cause of the reasons they say.
In the first letter, Mike covers up that she is black and writes only positive things about her. In the second letter he reveals she is black and dwells on how she should get in cause of affirmative action. This is the worst part:
It is for these reasons that I offer recommendations for Shannon without any reservations aside from the fact that she is not actually qualified, which I understand to be irrelevant in this case. Her demographic characteristics will truly be an asset to your law school’s mission as you have defined it.
In the end, he asks the reader which letter they would choose ...

24 February 09 - 09:16Was the Media Ever This Critical...
...when Bush and Republicans were in charge? Did the media gloss over in such detail the outrage over "pork" projects?
House Democrats unveiled a $410 billion spending bill on Monday to keep the government running through the end of the fiscal year, setting up the second political struggle over federal funds in less than a month with Republicans.
The measure includes thousands of earmarks, the pet projects favored by lawmakers but often criticized by the public in opinion polls. There was no official total of the bill's earmarks, which accounted for at least $3.8 billion.
That's less than 1 percent, but I bet Republicans will make a show trial over pork again just to try to ...

Why are assholes like this one allowed to criticize poor home owners when these people fucked up Wall Street so much. And "Chicago Tea Party?" The people who did the Boston Tea Party in 1773 protested corporate greed, the thing people Santelli represent.

7. North Carolina
6. Kentucky
5. Florida
4. New Hampshire

This might come back to bite him in 4 years.
“I’m not going to make any excuses,” Obama said at a town hall meeting here, in perhaps the most pivotal political state in America. “If stuff hasn’t worked, if people don’t feel like I’ve led the country in the right direction then you’ll have a new president.”
I think Obama is not understanding the size of this problem, this will take longer than one term to fix. Plus don't forget the Republicans, they want you to fail so they can gain power.
If the economy doesn't improve, expect Republicans to shove these words in Obama's face. Like Biden, Obama needs to know when to shut up. Republicans will not play nice.

10 February 09 - 13:23We Can't Count on Republicans, Nuke the Filibuster!
When Republicans a few years ago said they wanted to pull the "nuclear option" and get rid of the filibuster, I was actually for it. I thought that once the Democrats regained the majority, we would pass anything with a simple 51 vote majority. The nuclear option got nuked and a few years later, the Republicans are in the minority and tried to filibuster the stimulus bill. Cloture passed, but lots of important stuff got removed from the bill just to get 3 Republican votes. If Obama needed more spending, he would need the three Republicans (and all the Democrats) to support it every time. I say nuke the filibuster, cause Republicans will use it every time. Either that or get 60+ Democrats in 2010.

04 February 09 - 16:19Ted Kennedy Should Resign from the Senate
Ted, you've had a great career, but I think it's time for you to go. For health reasons you have missed many votes and I hope you get better. But in this important time and cause of several filibuster threats, the Democrats need every vote. If you aren't there, we could not get 60 votes on tough issues. Please resign and let someone else take your place like Barney Frank.

03 February 09 - 08:24Obama Scews Up
Judd Gregg? What the fuck? For Commerce Secretary? Mr. President, what the hell is your problem? Repeat this after me:
Republicans were wrong, we were right.
Did you hear that Obama? Stop reaching out to these people, they hate you. They want you to fail. They hate this country while pretending they don't. They only want power.
Can I interest you in Paul Krugman instead? He was right, Gregg and the Republicans were wrong, fuck them. Give us a liberal who will bitchslap this economy right around. Fuck Gregg!
The only good news that will come out of this is that Gregg won't be the incumbent in 2010, so this should be an easy pickup then.
