28 December 08 - 23:27Worst Criticism Ever

Warner Todd Huston criticizes a newspaper for printing letters to Obama.  Harmless you think?  Not to Huston.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has launched a wonderful little feature that will run until Barack Obama takes the oath of office next month. They are calling it "Dear Mr. Obama" and it is a heartwarming exercise in child indoctrination and brainwashing.

What are they writing that is so damn awful?

The Post-Gazette will be publishing letters from local students to Obama asking him for all sorts of global warming fixes, Iraq war enders, and big government programs.

Oh how dare those kids want to ask Obama to do things that might, uh, help them!  They must be brainwashed!

Seriously, Huston is a jackass.

Tampa Bay Bucs.

They started the season 9-3 and the NFC South leader.  They've lost 4 straight and are out of the playoffs.  What the fuck?  Next season they will be without Kiffen.  What a bunch of losers, I can't believe they are my home team.

27 December 08 - 00:20If Bozell Hates it, it Mustbe Good

Now a word from the man who has no sense of humor, his yearly bitching about Family Guy:

Worst: Fox's "Family Guy" making fun of Jesus Christ as a slacker who works in a record store to get away from the God the Father, allegedly an almighty pain in the rear as he tries to quit smoking. Jesus appears to the masses, quickly loses his morality as he acquires fame and fortune on TV, and is found dead drunk by the cops. He's so pathetic he needs to be bailed out from jail by the dumbest character in the animated universe. The atheist Seth MacFarlane spurns his critics as the ones who are morally obtuse, saying it's "like getting hate mail from Hitler."

That episode he is describing was the best of the year.  I loved the repetition of "Surfing Bird" throughout the episode.

We know that these nazis like Bozell just sit in their living rooms every night and watch ... (more)

23 December 08 - 23:26Fuck You Ratboy!

Since homosexuality is something you are born with, people who are homophobic need to be treated like racists.  The pope is no different:

Pope Benedict said on Monday that saving humanity from homosexual or transsexual behavior was just as important as saving the rainforest from destruction.

Now don't get me wrong, saving the rainforest from destruction is important, but when you add homophobia and religious insanity to the issue, you water down its importance.

I think Ratboy just needs to shut the fuck up.

22 December 08 - 00:41Mike Adams: Liberals are the Reason why we are Racist

Mike Adams, a walking example of what hell our University system would be like if it was controlled by conservatives, has a take on racism and the labeling theory:

But, curiously, one area of research remains unexplored: What impact does labeling someone a “racist” have on his self-image – and his propensity for future acts of racism?

He goes on:

If liberals really do believe in labeling theory, they should reconsider their own careless accusations of racism.

So it is our fault you are racist.  Why does the University of North Carolina keep this idiot?  Really, why?

19 December 08 - 09:01Eight Years Too Late, David

It's nice to see a right-wing hack defend a Democrat for once.

But how viable will our Constitution be if five Supreme Court justices should decide to void 64 million ballots?

Hmmm, does this sound familiar?  Where was David when the Supreme Court disenfranchised the majority who voted for Gore?  Eight years too late, David.

15 December 08 - 10:23I Feel Sorry For Detroit

A once great city now a shell of what it used to be.  This year has been a bad year for them.  First their corrupt mayor is kicked out.  Then McCain comes and says that the jobs will never come back making the state like him a lot less.  Then the Republicans say "fuck you" to the auto companies just to piss off the UAW.  Now their NFL team is 0-14!

At least they won the Stanley Cup.  But at the rate of the region is deteriorating, Joe Louis Arena might be up for sale soon.

What troubles me so deeply, and should trouble all thinking Americans, is that there is a real, unbroken line between the jihadist savagery in Mumbai and the hedonistic, irresponsible, blindly selfish goals and tactics of our homegrown sexual jihadists.

14 December 08 - 12:46Republican War on Unions

Here is a real Republican memo that was obtained:

From: Sent: Wednesday, December 10, 2008 9:12 AM
To: Subject: Action Alert -- Auto Bailout

Today at noon, Senators Ensign, Shelby, Coburn and DeMint will hold a press conference in the Senate Radio/TV Gallery. They would appreciate our support through messaging and attending the press conference, if possible. The message they want us to deliver is:

1. This is the democrats first opportunity to payoff organized labor after the election. This is a precursor to card check and other items. Republicans should stand firm and take their first shot against organized labor, instead of taking their first blow from it.

2. This rush to judgment is the same thing that happened with the TARP. Members did not have an opportunity to read or digest the legislation and therefore could not understand the consequences of it. We should not rush to pass this because Detroit says the sky is falling. ... (more)

11 December 08 - 01:16Difference Between NimRod Blagojevich and Republicans

NimRod is a scumbag, no doubt about it.  The dude withheld giving a children's hospital funding until they gave campaign money.  But I think it's important to remember that if he was a Republican, he probably would have never given the money at all.

09 December 08 - 01:29Can We Please Not Have This?

A religious case for gay marriage.

I'm with the fundies on this one, but for different reasons.  Gay marriage should strickly be a secular issue.  I hear from Christian apologists that Christianity ended slavery, which is pure bullshit.  Christians supported slavery for centuries before they finally opposed it and it was actually the enlightenment thinking on which this country was founded that ended it.  On the same coin, I'd hate to see Christians take credit for gay rights after opposing them for a long time.

George W Bush

In the interview, Bush said a lot of retarded shit, but this is the worst part of it:

GIBSON: What were you most unprepared for?

BUSH: Well, I think I was unprepared for war. In other words, I didn't campaign and say, "Please vote for me, I'll be able to handle an attack." In other words, I didn't anticipate war. Presidents -- one of the things about the modern presidency is that the unexpected will happen.

Wait, you didn't anticipate war?  You fucking cocksucker, you wanted to go to war before you were "elected", don't give me this bullshit.  Even though you probably won't go to jail, your legacy will haunt you for the rest of your life (assuming Bush gives a levitating fuck what others think.)

Also, fuck you Charley Gibson, you are a whore.  Bush lied right to your god damn ... (more)

04 December 08 - 09:44Michael Reagan and His War on Sanity

I think it's gotten to the point that when someone says there's a war on Christmas, it's got to be labeled a mental disorder:

The secular progressives who shrivel at the sound of a "Merry Christmas" greeting have long succeeded in intimidating the world of commerce and government. It's about time for the 90 percent of Americans who call themselves Christians to do a little intimidation of their own.

First off, Christians don't make up 90% of America, they represent less than 80% (and that number is falling.)  Second, why is Reagan saying that "it's about time" when he talks about Christians doing the intimidation, they've been doing it for years!

I also love the name of his column:

04 December 08 - 09:06Martinez Out, JEB in?

Mel Martinez isn't running for reelection to the Senate in Florida, but JEB (Bush) might try to take his place.  They say JEB is popular, but it will be 8 years in 2010 since his last political election victory and a lot has happened to the Bush name since then.  I think any Democrat would give him a run for his money, especially Kathy Castor.  The economy will remind the voters who his brother is and they will vote accordingly.

Hey Rick, fuck you.  Why would any rational person give a "peace" medal to anybody who started an unjust war for any reason?  It's because Rick Warren is not a rational person, he's just one of these ethically challenged right-wing Christians who just love Bush.
